Last Mile (Local Loop)

Wireless Multiplexers

RAD’s wireless multiplexers offer high bandwidth point-to-point connectivity for Ethernet or E1, T1 and Ethernet over long distances, at a fraction of the cost and time required to deploy fiber optic cables.

Compliant with regulations for license-exempt transmission over 2.3 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 4.9 GHz, and 5x GHz, as well as licensed 2.5 GHZ BRS bands, RAD’s wireless broadband multiplexers offer up to 100 Mbps throughput. The maximum range of the unit is 120 km (75 miles), depending on the payload and regulatory restrictions.

Wireless backhaul

Mobile operators and ISPs use wireless multiplexers to backhaul service from customers in the Last Mile. Businesses can avoid the cost of leased line services by connecting offices point-to-point over wireless links.

Wireless multiplexers can also operate in multi point-to-point architecture, enabling service providers and ISPs to provide multiple end-users with carrier-class services E1/T1 and/or Ethernet and dedicated bandwidth from a POP.
